KinetDS is an intuitive, easy to use, and very flexible software. It is mainly designed to analyze and export data obtained from pharmaceutical or nutritional dose dissolution test using apparatus capable of unidirectional agitation. The program provides a wide range of options with straightforward selection systems and a friendly, easy to use interface. KinetDS version 1.4 is capable of handling numerous types of data, gives very flexible tools, visual displays and several simple interfaces (quasi-plotting and real-time refresh of selected parameters), is very compatible with all available graphical interfaces, and provides 8 different types of data plots (real time with some graphic implementations, neat grids, graphical representation of the data, etc.). KinetDS is able to handle data from single dissolution test, batches of dissolution tests, groups of dissolution tests (a “study”), and even a set of studies (a dissolution protocol). It handles information obtained from any apparatus capable of unidirectional agitation, i.e., conductors in the form of capsules or tablets, as well as from apparatus capable of bidirectional agitation. Such type of apparatus are usually used for compacts with compound inserts, erosive test apparatus and the like. KinetDS – The “principles of operations” which are very simple and easy to use: Data is introduced as a text file in order to make the data more flexible and to avoid unnecessary data parsing. The software creates a study file which it does not save, but it can be opened in a wide variety of graphical software. When the study file is opened, the user can begin to introduce initial data or change existing data if needed. When the test is completed, the user receives the results in the form of a data table which is ready to be exported in various graphical formats (ie. Excel, HTML, PDF, etc.) in very various formats (ie. xls, xlsx, html, pdf, etc.) and in various graphical applications (ie. JMorph, iReport, etc.) Also, there is a real time display of the data obtained during the test. The user also has the option of saving a “current” image of the screen or the plot – or both – for export.
